After almost missing the train to Stansted airport, Mindy and Matt are ready for a card game. We flew to Marseille, picked up our rental cars and drove through the gorgeous Luberon countryside. These plane trees were everywhere; it really looks like this.
The house was more beautiful than expected, a mix of traditional, rustic French and casual modern full of tile, gorgeous doors and light-blue shutters.
For dinner, we found an outdoor table at La Recreation and toasted to the beginning of our stay in France. Julia wept a little (with joy).
The next day was consumed with grocery shopping, swimming, and wandering around Lourmarin. We saw this pedicab, with art.
These signs at the end of our road point to two footpaths that connect with the Grandes Randonees, which leads across France.
Our friends live two exits up the M5 from Stansted. That's where we stayed in May =)
